Revising Concepts on Liquid–Liquid Extraction: Data Treatment and Data Reliability

چکیده
The intention of this article is to clarify some concepts and relevant aspects the experimental determination treatment liquid–liquid equilibrium data for ternary systems. Distinction made between solubility curve binodal curve, setting stability limit which defined by spinodal curve. In addition, it recommended carry out correlation using semiempirical models with a thermodynamic base, over use empirical equations. Moreover, misuse these equations (Hand, Bachman, Othmer-Tobias, etc.) as proof quality or consistency clarified.
